2025 SHOCK & SAVE GOLF CLASSIC
Funds raised are used to assist Medstar in donating AED’s to schools, churches, non-profit and civic organizations.
Since we launched our Shock and Save fundraising initiative years ago, our golf outings have raised over $230,000, with Medstar matching another $230,000, providing over 220 AEDs throughout our service area, and over 1400 hours of CPR and AED training at no cost!
“Medstar recognizes community AED placement as the most important component of increasing cardiac arrest survival throughout our nine-county service area,” said Kolby Miller, Medstar CEO. “We’re incredibly thankful for our healthcare and community partners for helping us expand this vital initiative. The more AEDs we can get into the community, the more lives will be saved.”
This year's event will be held at the beautiful Greystone Golf Club and Banquet Center in Washington Township. Their signature holes, 16, 17 and 18, wrap around a 35 acre lake and are home to "The Best Finish in Michigan Golf".
Registration includes: 18 Holes of Golf with Cart, Driving Range, Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, On-Course Beverage Service, Raffle, Prizes and Awards
EVENT DETAILS
Monday, August 25, 2025 - Greystone Golf Club & Banquet Center
- 8:30 AM - Registration, continental breakfast and driving range access
- 9:30 AM - Event begins with shotgun start
- 11 AM - Lunch on the turn and on-course beverage service
- 3:30 PM – Cocktails, raffle prizes, awards and dinner in the clubhouse dining room

- Men's & Women's Closet to the Pin
TOURNAMENT RULES
Each group member is to hit a tee shot; men will hit from the WHITE tees and the ladies will hit from the GOLD tees. Then select the best drive and pick up the remaining shots. Mark the location on the ground and allow each plater to hit his or her second shot from the location where the best drive was located. Continue repeating this process each time selecting the best shot while picking up the other three shots – until the ball is holed out. EACH TEAM IS ALLOWED 4 SHOTS.
