Medstar donates an AED to Swartz Creek High School

Swartz Creek High School was the recipient of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) this week. Medstar CEO, Kolby Miller and Northern Operations Manager, Jeremy Compau, made the presentation to members of the Dragons Baseball team, the Principal, Jamie Dammann, the Assistant Principal, Josh Atwood and other school leaders. This AED will be installed in the newly renovated baseball field, Crapo Park.

“Medstar recognizes community AED placement as the most important component of increasing cardiac arrest survival throughout our nine-county service area,” said Kolby Miller, Medstar CEO. “We’re incredibly thankful for our healthcare and community partners for helping us expand this vital initiative. The more AEDs we can get into the community, the more lives will be saved.” This donation is special to Miller, who is a 1986 graduate of Swartz Creek High School.
