Medstar Donates an AED to L’Anse Creuse Middle School

Medstar continued its commitment to improving the outcomes for victims of cardiac arrest by donating an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to L’Anse Creuse Middle School East last week. Principal, Zach MacIntosh, was grateful to receive the AED. He indicated that they plan to install it near the gymnasium and that he wants his teaching staff present for training, which involves CPR training as well. Karen Gharbie, Chesterfield Township Assistant Supervisor, is interested in seeing more AEDs installed throughout the Township.
L’Anse Creuse Middle School East applied for the AED through the Shock and Save Community Initiative. The Initiative provides mini-grants to purchase and donate AEDs (Automated External Defibrillator) to schools, churches, non-profit and civic organizations within the Medstar coverage area.
